We have had several shop window displays during Fairtrade Fortnight, many thanks to Yates and Hoppers for using our books and materials in their displays. Beecham Weigh had a selection of Clipper flags and food items in their windows.



Malton Library had two displays, one in the main library and one in the Children’s section


The Fairtrade and Local Craft Fair was a huge success. Over £600 of Fair Trade goods were sold by our stall, Black Yak and Rickshaw. Nine local Craftspeople were able to sell and showcase their work and the Soroptomists were able to explain their vision.

We’ve also sold Fairtrade goods at West Heslerton and Amotherby Primary schools, as well as holding assemblies at Amotherby. We gave a talk on Fairtrade and sold Fairtrade goods at Norton Explorer Scouts and Pickering Sight Support Group.
Our annual outing to Boggle Hole Youth Hostel for FT coffee and lovely cakes now resumed. Followed by fish and chips in the sunshine at Robin Hoods Bay

Supporting Toilet Twinning with Malton Town Council


Getting ready for the Christmas and Local Craft Fair. It was a huge success, over £700 worth of Fairtrade goods sold, seven local crafts people were able to showcase and sell their wares.
We also had stalls at Settrington Primary School, Sight Support in Pickering and Norton, West Heslerton School, Pickering Methodist Church and Norton Trinity Methodist Church.
Our final event in 2022 was celebrating Toilet Twinning with Norton Town Council.
